ALS is an absolutely terrible disease which presently offers only one outcome: a rapid neuromuscular degeneration followed by a horrific death and an awful experience that should be the fate of no person or family in the world. Cape Cod Daily Deal is teaming up to MATCH DONATIONS with today's Cape Cod Daily Deal. We want to support this cause, raise awareness, and make a difference. This is the same disease for which millions underwent the Ice Bucket Challenge, but the organization launched by Kevin Gosnell is different in many ways, as to HOW the organization is approaching the search for a cure. ALS ONE is aggregating resources and data in order to reduce redundancy in the lab, optimize research, and encourage collaboration between the world's leading ALS doctors and scientists. The goal is to find a cure, and find a cure FAST.
The top leaders, researchers, doctors and caretakers in ALS within Massachusetts, have joined forces to bring the strengths of their venerable institutions to an ambitious plan: to bring a treatment to persons with ALS within the next four years.
By collaborating to fund and develop a treatment, we will demonstrate our shared commitment to fighting ALS while also continuing to provide high-level care for those who have already been diagnosed.
About the Founder:
Every morning, Kevin Gosnell opened his eyes and realized he had another day.

In May of 2015, this 47-year-old husband, father of three and small business owner, was diagnosed with an aggressive form of ALS. After realizing there was no cure, and little that doctors could do to even treat his devastating condition, Kevin made a brave decision. To dig deeper. Ask questions. And use the resources, team building skills and relationships he had cultivated as a small business owner to create a new business. One committed to bringing the best doctors, researchers, and care practitioners together. To raising funds to fuel their efforts. And in the end, to finding a cure for ALS.
