The Yarmouth House was founded in June of 1978 by Gerry Kounadis and his beautiful wife Vasiliki, lovingly known as "Bessie", along wiht their 3 children. With hard work and dedication they laid the foundation for what would become one of Cape Cod's favorite restaurants.
In August 2006, Gerry passed away. Bessie carried on until she passed in October of 2023. Their presence is still felt every day in the restaurant. Today, their son Chris runs the kitchen with long time and talented chef Gary Sprague. The dining room is run by his daughter Angie along with General Manager Eric White. All continuing to uphold the values and integrity Gerry and Bessie instilled in all of us and work tirelessly to honor their memory. Serving the finest food at reasonable prices with a focus on warm and friendly service in an inviting atmosphere.
The family has expanded and also owns and operates DiParma Italian Table, Scally's Irish Ale House both located in West Yarmouth and Tap City Grille in Hyannis.
